From the President

On behalf of all WPI alumni, it is my pleasure to welcome you to WPI. For many, many years incoming freshman have found that this booklet, the Tech Bible, sets the tone and direction for them to become and remain an integral part of the WPI community.

History and traditions are an important part of any college or university and especially here at WPI. I encourage you to learn about the history and traditions described in the Tech Bible and embodied in WPI. As this booklet relates, traditions do change and adapt to changing circumstances. However, certain fundamental principles endure and do not change, and those principles continue to be reflected in the Tech Bible and maintain the important fundamental underpinnings of excellence in education, personal development, and preparation for career goals.

The Alumni Association wishes you the best of fortunes as you begin your quest, and we look forward to your active participation with the WPI Alumni Association in shaping our history, and in maintaining the traditions of excellence at WPI.
