Outlook Rule Templates

Sometimes you may find it useful to import a rule into Outlook instead of writing your own from scratch. Below is an example of how to import a rule that filters mail with a 60% probability of being spam and moves it into the Junk E-mail folder.

Importing an Outlook Spam Rule in Outlook 2007

Right click on the following link, and choose Save Target As... to save this file in your My Documents folder.

Open Outlook.
Go to Tools -> Rules and Alerts.
Click Options.
Now click on Import Rules.
Locate the rule you wish to import (in this case, outlookfilter.rwz) and click on it once so that it is highlighted. Then click Open.
Click OK.
To finish, click Apply. The rule should now be applied.
