Job Description: | The Department of Mathematical Sciences is accepting applications for all terms of the 2024-2025 academic year.
Tutors work in the Math Tutoring Center (MTC), a campus-wide resource where students will drop-in to work with a tutor and ask questions on concepts discussed in math/stats classes and homework problems. PLA positions in the Department of Mathematical Sciences involve working with a faculty member on a course or courses. Depending on the course, the duties will vary and could include holding in-person weekly discussions or labs, grading homework & exams, office hours, corresponding with students via email, and 1 hour per week in the MTC. |

The Department of Mathematical Sciences seeks applicants that have exhibited strong performance in mathematical sciences coursework. We also seek applicants with strong communication skills that are passionate about helping other students master new concepts in mathematical sciences courses. All tutoring shifts, along with discussions and labs will be held in-person.
