Job Description: Wind tunnels are used throughout Aerospace Engineering mainly to test scale models of wings, airfoils and aircraft. The AE Department routinely uses several wind tunnels, but the data acquisition systems need to be modernized. This project will include developing a custom LabVIEW VI to collect all relevant data for various experiments. The DAQ system development will require sensor testing and calibration, test procedure development and hardware integration. Student(s) working on this project will work directly with AE faculty to develop a data acquisition system and conduct several demonstration tests.
