This workshop introduces humanities and social science researchers to the method of network analysis, or the investigation of the connections between entities, such as characters in a text or users on social media platforms. It covers basic terminology and concepts relating to network analysis and provides a hands-on tutorial using the open source tool Gephi to create and interpret a network visualization based on a historical dataset of letters exchanged by figures in the Boston-area anti-slavery movement.
