This workshop introduces those interested in using mapping for their humanities and social science research to the fundamentals of mapping methods and tools. Drawing on the work of Miriam Posner, we'll ask the question “How did they make that?” while evaluating a range of mapping projects, in order to understand the process of building a mapping project, what mapping methods and tools exists, and how they can be used in spatial analysis and scholarship.
