Please note that along with other various enhancements and import bug fixes, the
patches released by Apple include important enhancements to the wireless subsystem.
Therefore, we highly recommend that you ensure that your apple system is fully up to
with all patches before proceeding with these directions.
Requirements
Apple Macintosh running Mac OS X v10.5 (Leopard) or v10.6
(Snow Leopard)
Date and time set correctly
NOTE - Your wireless card needs to be registered through WPI
Network Registration (http://netreg.wpi.edu/) prior to
working on the WPI Wireless Network.
Setup of WPI Wireless Network
Make sure your computer's clock is set to the correct date
and time.
From the Mac OS X v10.6 (Snow Leopard) and earlier
section, download the Wireless User Certificate File
and Network Operations CA Certificate File files and
make a note of the Wireless User Certificate Password
at the top of the page which is needed to unlock the
certificate file.
Copy the netops-ca.cer and Wireless-User.p12
files that you downloaded to the Mac you want to connect to
the WPI Wireless network.
Double click on the netops-ca.cer file to import it. Select the System keychain and hit Ok.
When prompted for trust settings, select Always Trust. If there is more than one CA file,
repeat the import process for each one.
Double click on the Wireless-User.p12 file to import it. Select the login keychain and hit Ok.
When prompted, enter the password from the secure download
page and hit enter. You may then close the Keychain application.
Go to the airport icon in the menu and select Open Network Preferences.
Select the AirPort adapter from the list and click the Advanced... button.
Select the 802.1X tab and make sure the Domain pull-down setting is set to User.
Hit + to add a new network configuration, and use these values.

Only TLS should be checked off
While the TLS line in Authentication is highlighted, click the Configure button.
Make sure that the Wireless User certificate corresponding to the current school
year is selected and click the Choose button.
Click Ok to return to the Network Systems Preferences panel, then click Advanced... again.
Select the AirPort tab and hit + to create a new preferred network,
input these values, and click the Add button.

Click Ok to return to the Network System Preferences panel, and Apply to make
the changes take effect.
If this prompt appears regarding eapolclient signing using
a key from your private keychain, select Always
Allow. Note that this prompt may reappear
periodicaly after applying updates to your operating
system.
Your computer should now automatically connect to the WPI-Wireless network.
