Social Program - Excursion to Eckart GmbH

Monday, March 5 is scheduled for a visit to the facilities of Eckart GmbH in Velden.

This excursion is made possible by generous support from our seminar sponsors - P�SCHNER GMBH + CO. KG and SAIREM SAS.

The trip is scheduled as follows:

8:30	Boarding the bus: University of Bayreuth, FAN B Building
8:45	Bus departs from University of Bayreuth
9:45	Arrival to Eckart GmbH near Velden
9:45 - 11:15	Tour over the Eckart facilities
11:15	Bus departs from Eckart
12:00 - 13:00	Lunch (place TBD)
13:15	Arrival at the University of Bayreuth

Facility Overview

ECKART GmbH is a leading international manufacturer of metallic pigments for the paints and coatings industry, lightweight concrete industries and the cosmetics industry. Drying and heat treatments are in many cases important steps within the processing chain. During the excursion the seminar participants will have the opportunity to view an 18 kW microwave dryer for glass pigments in operation. The dryer has been designed and manufactured by P�schner GmbH.

Eckart GmbH requires the names of the visitors to their facilities to be available one week ahead of the tour. Therefore, only those seminar participants who register for the trip on or before February 27, 2012 will be permitted to enter the Eckart facilities.
